Eumarellah employs full time, live in lodge managers during the ski season who are there to greet Members and Guests and make your stay more enjoyable. We had announced late last year that our managers for 2020 would be John and Anne Thompson from Tasmania. Unfortunately because of the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting travel restrictions John and Anne had to withdraw their application.
Eumarellah Has Appointed New Managers For 2020
With the season now officially opening on Monday 6th July Eumarellah is pleased to announce our new managers for the shortened season are Michael Nicolson and Marnie Gibson.
Michael has been a long time Hotham skier and loves the Hotham lodge culture. His background has been diverse working as an Engineer and Project Manager (Rail & Aircraft industries) and also in hospitality/catering and events which has included organising a number of ski strips, mostly to Hotham for close to 20 years. The trips started while he was at uni and it was on one of these trips where Michael and Marnie first met! Originally from Perth, Marnie hadn’t seen snow until she moved to Melbourne in 2000 but after joining a number of Michaels ski trips, she was hooked on skiing, and well, Michael too! She works in HR and has a passion for all things arts and music. In the past they have mainly only been up to the mountain on weekends so they really looking forward to spending the winter at Eumarellah, especially having the opportunity to spend time meeting the members, seeing more of the villages, maybe running a trivia night or two and also giving cross country skiing a go!
Welcome to Eumarellah Michael and Marnie!
