Eumarellah employs full time, live in lodge managers during the ski season who are there to greet Members and Guests and make your stay more enjoyable. We had announced late in 2019 that our managers for 2020 would be John and Anne Thompson from Tasmania. Unfortunately because of the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting travel restrictions John and Anne had to withdraw their application. The good news is they are able to return in 2021.
Eumarellah Has Appointed New Managers For 2021
With the season now officially opening on Friday 11th June Eumarellah is pleased to announce our new managers for 2021 are John and Anne Thompson.
Anne works as a teacher and John as a principal in Northern Tasmania. Their children are now adults and have on to employment and university so they feel now is the time for their own, COVID delayed, “Gap Year.” Between them, John and Anne enjoy a range of outdoor pursuits including walking in the Tasmanian wilderness, sailing, surfing and of course, skiing and boarding.
So we asked them, “Why would you choose to be Lodge Managers at Eumarellah as part of your Gap Year?”
“As parents, we value the experience of family snow trips. Annually we travelled to Mount Hotham with our children and other families. These ski trips are a highlight of our family memories and often our kids reminisce about days on Mount Hotham and staying at Eumarellah. We really look forward to welcoming members and guests to Eumarellah and hosting them in a family-friendly lodge environment. We will really enjoy introducing first timers to the slopes of Mount Hotham and other alpine experiences on offer.”
Welcome to Eumarellah John and Anne!
